A real eye-catcher right in Umhausen is of course the Stuibenfall. The highest waterfall in Tyrol can be experienced up close from five viewing platforms. The via ferrata directly at the waterfall promises even more thrills.

The municipality of Umhausen proudly looks back on a past steeped in history - and it is being brought back to life in the Ötzi Village. With the whole family, friends or alone you can go back to the time of the famous glacier mummy, Ötzi, in the Umhauser open-air park. After this journey through time, the Birds of Prey Park (near the Ötzi Village) brings you back to the present.

The Ötztal is famous for its first-class ski areas (Sölden and Höchötz) and is a popular destination for many winter holidaymakers. By the way, Sölden is a glacier ski area!

Away from the hustle and bustle, Umhausen is more about enjoyment and tranquility! In winter, in the hamlet of Niederthai, you will find not only beautiful valley trails but also a small family ski area. Niederthai is also an ideal starting point for ski tours in the Stubai Alps. There is even more winter fun on the toboggan run in Umhausen. This leads from the Gasthof Stüböbele (near the waterfall) to the campsite right in town. The illuminated ice skating rink is fun for young and old!

In summer, Umhausen is all about hiking and mountaineering. Hikes of all kinds, from easy to difficult, there is something for everyone.

Climbing gardens and via ferratas for beginners and advanced climbers, Nordic walking routes and mountain bike or cycle paths in all levels of difficulty, Circular hikes, swimming fun at the Umhausen bathing lake and much more make Umhausen a popular holiday destination!
