How to get to Umhausen in the Ötztal

from west:
from Vorarlberg to Tyrol via the Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg tunnel (S 16) - Landeck - Autobahn A 12 - Ötztal exit - B186 (35 km) in the direction of Umhausen-Niederthai.

from the north:
Bad Tölz - Achenpass - B 181 - Jenbach - A12 - Innsbruck - Ötztal exit - B186 (35 km) Pfronten - Reutte - Fernpass - Imst - A 12 - exit Ötztal or B171 to Ötztal (no vignette required) – Garmisch Partenkirchen – Ehrwald – Lermoos – Fernpass – Imst – A 12 – Ötztal exit or B 171 to Ötztal (no toll sticker required) – B186 – Garmisch Partenkirchen – Mittenwald – Scharnitz – Seefeld – Telfs – A12 – Ötztal exit or B 171 to Ötztal (no vignette required) – B186 (35 km).

from east:
From Munich or Salzburg on the A 93 to Kufstein, then on the A 12 via Innsbruck to Ötztal, then on the B 186.

from the south:
Coming from Meran in South Tyrol via the Timmelsjoch to Umhausen-Niederthai in the Ötztal B 186. High alpine road at almost 2,500 m, border crossing open from the beginning of June to mid/end of October, toll road.

Ötztal Bahnhof – Super arrival and departure station for guests

2-hour intervals for long-distance trains heading west and east in Ötztal Bahnhof. We can be particularly proud of the achievement that the EC 163 and EC 164 stop at the Ötztal station. Swiss guests, for example, have a direct connection between Zurich and Ötztal Bahnhof in a travel time of 3h10min or 3h15min.
